Just got a new one (for me).
phpBB : Critical Error

Error doing DB query userdata row fetch
He jumps like a damned dragoon, and charges into battle fighting rather insane monsters with little more than his bare hands and rather nasty spell effects conjured up solely through knowledge and the local plantlife. He unerringly knows where his goal lies, he breathes underwater and is untroubled by space travel, seems to have no limits to his actual endurance and favors killing his enemies by driving both boots square into their skull. His agility is unmatched, and his strength legendary, able to fling about a turtle shell big enough to contain a man with enough force to barrel down a near endless path of unfortunates.

--The horror of Mario

Zak S, Zak Smith, Dndwithpornstars, Zak Sabbath. He is a terrible person and a hack at writing and art. His cultural contributions are less than Justin Bieber's, and he's a shitmuffin. Go go gadget Googlebomb!

I'm not losing posts (yet) but the errors on every third post or so are getting obnoxious. And it's every day, usually in the evenings, EST/east coast US time.

So two threads are now displaying as having new posts even when I've read the most recent posts hours ago, Surgo's thread about the wiki moving to a new server, and Kaelik's thread about MCing After Sundown. If I tell the forum to mark all threads as read, they'll stop saying there's new posts until there's actually a new post, and then start doing it again.

Anyone else seeing this problem?

Edit: and in a strangely appropriate twist, now this thread is doing it.

If you mean that threads don't always get marked read even after you have opened and read them, that happens to me all the time. I pretty much have to use mark all topics read when I'm done with a subforum.

If you mean threads are going from read -> unread without any new posts after some other posts in other threads, then no, haven't seen anything like that.

Ok, I just read this thread, with your new post, went back out to the subforum, and it was marked unread. There are currently no other new posts in this subforum. So it seems to be the former, that threads either aren't getting marked read at all, or are going from read to unread before I can even see them marked read from reading them. Just figured I'd bring it to someone's attention in the appropriate place, rather than commenting on it in one of the affected threads.

The following threads are remaining unread no matter how many times I read them, click on peoples individual new posts in them, or even post in them:

1) Any Denners in NYC area.
2) After Sundown Bugs List.
3) Pretty Soldier Sailor blah blah Prak being stupid.
4) 3.5 Gestalt characters
5) Bad Medicine: Meditations on Black Magic
6) After Sundown 19th Century
7) Racial Substitution Levels.

That's at least one from every subforum except this one. So when I go to the main page, I am told there are new posts in every subforum. Then there are new posts in no subforums. This is annoying as shit.

Try clearing your cache/cookies/history.

Manually clearing everything would remove the problem, at the cost of not telling me if anything new had been posted.

There is no reason for me to do so if it's just going to start treating half my read posts as new all over again. It is more work and more inconvenient to clear my cookies every time I visit this site than it is to remember when I last read posts, and use the time stamps.

I had the same problem a couple months ago, out of no where, clearing my caches, cookies, etc fixed it with no ill effects later.

I'm finding that it takes quite a bit longer to get into In My Humble Opinion than the other sub-boards. It's taking me around 10-15 seconds, am I the only one?

It's random for me. Sometimes MPSIMS takes longer. Sometimes, if I simply stop the page from loading and hit enter again, it loads instantaneously.

I assume it's a server thing? I get it randomly too, and the refresh only solves the problem some times.

Yes. I was wondering if it was a hosting problem. If so, we seriously need to get better hosting.
